Big Vortex is the winning competition design for Copenhagen’s new waste-to-energy plant by Bjarke Ingels Group, BIG Architects in Copenhagen that features an unusual  interactive art installation at the rooftop by realities:united, studio for art and architecture in Berlin. realities:united will be sending 30 meter in diameters and 3 meter thick smoke rings (gas) out of the plants chimney as a reminder of the CO2 emission. Usually invisible to us, the rings - reminders  of the carbon dioxide pollution, should be visible for around 45 seconds due to the condensation of water in the flue gases, before they resolve into air. The plan is to light them up at night via lasers and possibly even project pie charts of pollution data onto them.
