today i was challenged by a friend to draw a map of the word, freehand. i bet someone here can do better than me, though. 
things i learned:
there is a lot of asia which is particularly difficult. in fact, i could not remember any of the detail in australia or new zealand. 
if you do this, you will draw almost everything wrong. 
the scale is the hardest thing to get right. i gave up after a bit. it’s a pain having to re-draw an entire continent because you drew it too big or too small.
