a professor published articles for ten years that fall squarely in the self-plagiarized bin (can we say cut and paste? yes, yes we can.). one of his students, after being hired into the professor’s research group, complained publicly that the journals wouldn’t let him plagiarize the professor. because, you know, there just isn’t anything else to say on the topic and it just isn’t fair that he should have to try. ugh.
